SANSKRIT · COMFORT AND EASE

Araamya comes from araam, the Sanskrit word for comfort and ease. We sell things that make an ordinary day a little easier: the shirt that feels right going on, the towel that meets a tired face gently, the tote that carries a week's shopping without complaint. And we mean the same ease for the buyer. The hard parts of sourcing, finding the right factory, holding the quality line, moving the container, clearing customs, are meant to feel handled. Ease is what we deliver to you, and what our goods deliver to the person who ends up holding them.

A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER

Textiles are the family trade: three decades of importing and exporting cloth across borders. I studied at Cambridge, but I learned the real lesson at home: a promise made over a swatch has to hold all the way to the container. Too often it doesn't.

Araamya is my attempt to make it hold every time: premium Indian cotton, sourced honestly, matched to the spec you signed off, stood behind from fibre to floor. Araamya means ease. That's what I want you to feel.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

The questions buyers actually ask.

What are your MOQs? +
Minimums start from 150 units per style, per colour, and sit against the fabric rather than one blanket number. Tell us the styles and the market and we come back with the real figure, honestly, rather than one that changes later.
How does pricing and a quote work? +
Send the product, market and rough volumes and we come back, usually within 24 to 48 hours, with a landed or ex-works price, the MOQ and the lead time. Pricing is per style and moves with fabric, GSM, branding and quantity, so you see the real number, not a placeholder.
What is your real lead time? +
You get the true lead time up front, and a message the moment it moves. We would rather quote a longer date we can hold than a short one we cannot.
How does sampling work, and what does it cost? +
You approve a physical sample for fabric, fit, colour and branding before any bulk is cut. Samples carry a small cost and lead time of their own, since they are made as one-offs; both are confirmed with your quote.
How do you keep the bulk consistent with the sample? +
Nep control and yarn count are spec'd across the whole run, not just the approval sample. On mercerised styles the body and the collar rib are dye-matched on production, which is exactly where cheaper runs drift. Every order is inspected on the run.
Do you handle customs and duties, or is it landed? +
Both, your call. We can quote ex-works if you run your own freight, or landed, where we arrange shipping, clear duties and deliver into your warehouse ready to sell, wherever in the world that is.
Can you private-label and brand the goods? +
Yes. Neck labels, hang tags, packaging and custom trims are part of the finish. The print-ready substrate is built for screen and DTG houses, and totes take custom branding on bulk orders. Send the artwork with your inquiry.
What payment terms do you offer? +
Terms are set with your quote and typically split across order confirmation and shipping. Tell us how you prefer to work and we will be straight about what is possible for your first order versus repeat runs.
What do you need from me to get started? +
Just the product you want, the market you sell into, and rough volumes. Artwork, tech packs or reference samples help, but are not required to open the conversation.
Are the goods certified and traceable? +
Where it matters, yes. GOTS organic is fully traceable from fibre to finished garment, and we can share the relevant certification and mill detail on request for a given order.
Can we visit or audit the mills? +
Yes. Serious buyers are welcome to visit the partner mills with us, and third-party audits can be arranged on request. We would rather you see the line than take our word for it.
Can you share certification documents? +
Yes. Where an order runs on a certified line, the relevant partner-mill certificates (GOTS, OEKO-TEX) and inspection reports are shared with your order documents.
Which ports do you ship from? +
Tuticorin and JNPT, depending on the category and the lane. East African deliveries route through Mombasa; other destinations are quoted lane by lane.
Which markets do you serve today? +
We ship internationally and quote every destination honestly; lead times vary by lane. Wherever you sell, we stay accountable for the order end to end.
